Your town, at a glance.
LiveLocal is a family of beautifully simple apps for iOS and Android. Cheapest fuel. Pubs and markets near any postcode. Local events. No sign-ups. No noise. Just what's happening near you, right now.
The LiveLocal family
One small app per job. Each one tuned for speed, clarity, and a single real-world question.
Petrol · LiveLocal
The cheapest fuel near any UK postcode — with roadworks on your route and a daily alert when prices drop.
Markets · LiveLocal
Markets near any UK postcode — farmers', general, flea. What day they run, indoor or outdoor, sorted by distance.
Pubs · LiveLocal
Pubs near any UK postcode — real ale, food, beer gardens, dog-friendly, opening hours. Sorted by distance.
Events · LiveLocal
What's on near you this week — gigs, markets, fetes and fayres, pub quizzes — pulled from the sources locals actually use.
Tell us what's missing
LiveLocal is built from real local frustrations. If there's a question your community keeps asking, we want to hear it.
Built to feel like part of your phone.
Not a website pretending. Not a bloated app demanding permissions. Just a polite, fast tool on your home screen.
Instant
Opens in under a second. Works offline after first visit. No splash screen theatrics.
Private by default
No accounts. No tracking pixels. Your postcode stays on your device unless you explicitly share it.
Actually local
Built for UK postcodes, UK sources, UK quirks. Tested in small towns where "nearby" doesn't always mean 500m.
Install in a tap.
Every LiveLocal app is a PWA — no app store, no download, no sign-up. Open the link on your phone and add it to your home screen. It behaves like a native app from that moment on.
iPhone & iPad
- Open the app link in Safari (not Chrome).
- Tap the Share icon at the bottom.
- Choose Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. Done — it launches like a normal app.
Android
- Open the app link in Chrome.
- Look for the Install app prompt, or tap the ⋮ menu.
- Choose Install app / Add to Home screen.
- Done — you'll find it with your other apps.
Good questions.
Is it really free? +
Yes. No paywalls, no ads tracking you around the web. If we ever add paid features they'll be clearly optional.
Why aren't these in the App Store? +
They're Progressive Web Apps. That means you get an app on your home screen without the gatekeeping, waiting, or 100MB download. Updates are instant. Privacy is better. The trade-off is the install step is slightly less familiar — so we wrote clear instructions above.
Where does the data come from? +
Published public sources — the government's fuel price transparency scheme, National Highways for roadworks, Ordnance Survey postcodes, and similar. Each app credits its sources.
Who builds LiveLocal? +
A small independent UK studio. Based in Kent, interested in the unglamorous corners of local life that nobody else is bothering to build for.
Start with Petrol · LiveLocal.
